Register for Religious Education Classes

Registration for our Religious Education Program is open June 5 – August 17, 2023.

St. Katharine Drexel Mission offers faith formation classes for children in grades 1-Confirmation through our Religious Education Program. As parents, you are the primary teachers of passing the Catholic faith to your children.  Our program serves to supplement those teachings using the Diocesan curriculum and supplemental materials.

Religious Education Class Information

Our classes for the 2023-2024 school year will run from September 10, 2023 through May 19, 2024 and are held at Battlefield High School on Sunday mornings from 9:10 – 10:15 AM. Through the program, children will learn what it means to be a faith-filled Catholic and how they can apply these values to their everyday lives.

Sacrament of Confession

For your convenience, the Sacrament of Confession is offered at St. Katharine Drexel Mission between Masses at Battlefield High School (9:30 -10:15 AM) almost every Sunday. Cards to assist you in preparing for Confession are on the hall tables. Fr. Murphy or our guest Priest will be more than happy to absolve you of your sins privately or face to face.

Our Confessional is located on the far-right side of the stage. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Join us in praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy after the 8:00 AM Mass each Sunday at Battlefield High School.

Why do we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet?
We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for mercy, in our own lives and in our neighbors too. We also pray to remind ourselves that we must rely on God; we must recognize our weakness and replace our anxieties and worries with abounding trust in God.

We will meet in the front of the auditorium after the 8:00 AM Mass. The Chaplet is relatively short taking approximately 10 minutes. Please consider joining us!

Arlington Diocese BLA

2023 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal

The 2023 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) mailing was recently sent to parishioners. The theme is “My soul rejoices in the Lord”, which is shared with the second preparatory year of the Diocesan Jubilee. The BLA funds programs and ministries that serve thousands of people in our diocese. Through the inspiration of the BLA theme, let us joyfully make a pledge to support God’s Kingdom in our diocese!
