Volunteer as a Lector

Love to Read and want a way to help the SKD Community?? Why not volunteer as a lector??

With the addition of the 8:00 AM Mass, our community is in need of additional lectors to read at both the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM Masses.

Lector books will be provided, and the commitment is no more than once every 4-6 weeks, with enough volunteers!

Angel Tree - St. Katharine Drexel Mission

2022 Angel Tree – Thank You

Update:
Saint Katharine Drexel Mission is blessed to have so many generous parishioners. The number of gift cards that were donated this year met and exceeded all the needs on the lists from our local schools. Because of this surplus, we had enough gift cards left over to be able to help an additional school that was brought to our attention because of their large number of exceptionally needy students. Thank you all for helping to make this Christmas much more joyous for so many others.

The Angel Tree Team

In collaboration with our area School Counselors, we hope to provide a bit of Christmas Cheer to students in need. The Angel Tree ministry coordinates with School Counselors who identify area students who could benefit. They then relay the needs to our community, collect donations, and return them to the appropriate school counselors.

We try to take Black Friday into consideration, so we have to move fast! Please consider volunteering to be part of this volunteer ministry.

This program will NOT be able to take place without volunteers! The deadline for volunteers to step up is November 3, 2022.

Contact Ellen Sivick for St Katharine Drexel esivick@saint-stephen.org or 703-754-8444.

Love to Sing? Join the Choir

For more information, please see choir member Kathy Cumber after Mass, or email Kathy.Cumber@gmail.com.
